On 14th August 2017 at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Kris Foundation presented the second series of Beyond Borders, featuring rising Singaporean soprano Victoria Songwei Li and tenor Martin Smaukstelis in an exciting programme of Italian, German, French and Russian songs.
Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London, Victoria Songwei Li has secured major opera roles and performed song recitals at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall and LSO St. Luke’s. She also performed as a soprano soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel and at the London Handel Festival with the Guildhall Cantata Ensemble.
