On 27th August 2011 at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Kris Foundation presented A Cultural Odyssey: In Concert with Alan Choo and Miyuki Washimiya. This was the rst concert presented under the auspices of Kris Foundation. Singaporean violinist Alan Choo and Japanese pianist Miyuki Washimiya touched Kris with their sincere artistry and their enthusiasm to share their music.
Alan Choo has established himself on the global stage as a leading soloist, chamber musician and historical specialist. He serves as Artistic Leadership Fellow for the Grammy Award-winning baroque orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, and is also Founder and Artistic Director of Red Dot Baroque, Singapore’s rst professional period ensemble, which has enjoyed multiple sold-out concerts and critical acclaim since their formation in August 2018.
