Divertiment: Life and Vitality

  • Esplanade Recital Studio 1 Esplanade Drive Singapore, 038981 Singapore (map)

Divertiment was the first chamber music concert presented by Kris Tan. Chamber music was once described by the English composer and pianist Richard Walthew as “the music of friends”. Bringing together four musicians of diverse experiences and backgrounds, and blurring the lines between student and teacher, unified by our common passion for music-making. Chamber music is often considered as the highest form of music-making as it requires excellent team dynamics, astute listening and high standards of musicality.

The La Vida Quartet, joined by pianist Celine Tan, presented two major works in chamber music repertoire - Mozart’s Dissonance Quartet and Schumann’s Piano Quintet.
